By providing educational scholarships, supporting grassroots organizations, and creating financial assistance programs like the Spirit of Humanity Award, we offer hope and a helping hand to the members of our community who need it most.
For nearly two decades, we have strengthened the community by helping youth, veterans, animals, and local grassroots organizations that share our mission and values.
Our city, state, and country are all suffering greatly as a result of this unprecedented health crisis.
But in this challenging time, the DeBartolo Family Foundation has strengthened its resolve, executed its mission and rallied its wide and compassionate network of donors, supporters and volunteers to come together to fight this invisible adversary. We know our community needs our help now more than ever.
In the first quarter of 2020, economists estimate that 767,000 Floridians have lost their jobs. By 2021, we will see double-digit unemployment. Lines of cars at Tampa Bay area foods banks are so long that many desperate families go home hungry. Pets owned by out-of-work families are even more vulnerable.
How we stand together and respond to this unrelenting pandemic will define our legacy as a community. We are committed to this challenge and ask you to join us. Our efforts have only just begun.
