We have strengthened our community by investing in grass-roots organizations that are making a difference here at home. If you share our mission and vision and are in need of assistance to reach your organization’s goals, you may qualify for a Community Grant.

ONLY PROGRAM-RELATED REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

HOW TO APPLY

Before submitting your request for a Community Grant, please determine whether it fits our Foundation’s mission:

The DeBartolo Family Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of the Tampa Bay area’s most underserved populations. By providing educational scholarships, supporting grassroots organizations, and creating financial assistance programs like the Spirit of Humanity Award, we offer hope and a helping hand to the members of our community who need it most.

Please email the following information to our Foundation Manager, Judy Bragdon, at jbragdon@debartoloholdings.com.

1. Your mission statement
2. The donation amount you are requesting
3. A short description about what the funding will be used for

If we are interested in a full proposal, we will contact you with an application.

Proof of 501 99(c)(3) status, audited financials and the most recent year’s 990 will be required.

Metropolitan Ministries volunteers provide food for families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We express our sincere gratitude to the DeBartolo Family Foundation for their commitment to our community and the families Metropolitan Ministries serves year-round. The DeBartolo Family Foundation has also contributed to our COVID-19 Response Initiative by stepping up to help us exceed our goal during our very first virtual food drive, Feed The Bay. Affected families received lifesaving resources like food and financial aid. We are honored to have the support of community pillars who give so much to help families have hope.”

The DeBartolo family considers their pets members of their families, and because of their personal love for animals, in 2018, they supported the construction of a new state-of-the-art animal shelter for the Humane Society in Tampa, FL. The multi-story building, named The DeBartolo Family Animal Shelter, is expected to open in 2020.
